Day 30

Well, I made it to day 30 and none too worse for the wear:

Me like 30 days sober!

Me like 30 days sober!

Heh. Really, here’s me:

The cat's drunk as hell.

The cat’s drunk as hell.

I’ve lost a little bit of weight, but I’m shocked at how much younger I look. That, and my face isn’t bloated and red. Always a plus.

I won’t get my 30 day marble until Friday when I go to my home group, and until then I’ll carry my clear marble. I’m proud of myself, but I’ll have to get used to other people complimenting me because that tends to freak me out.

Also, for the musically curious, I’m writing instrumental songs that chronicle my journey into recovery. It’s pretty dark stuff now, but hopefully some lighter tracks will emerge. I plan to make an EP and release it on my BandCamp site.

Carry on, sober people….
